About the Author

Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn is Professor of Medicine Emeritus at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and the founder of the Stress Reduction Clinic there. He is widely credited with bringing mindfulness meditation into mainstream medicine and is the creator of the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program, used in hospitals and clinics around the world.
