Our Commitment

Nightingale-Conant Corporation is committed to making our website, digital products, and services accessible to people with disabilities. We believe that personal-development content should be available to everyone, and we work to create a website that is usable and understandable for the widest possible audience.

Accessibility Standard

We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 and 2.2 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including blindness and low vision, deafness and hearing loss, limited movement, learning and cognitive disabilities, and combinations of these.

What We Are Doing

  • Keyboard accessibility — interactive elements are usable with a keyboard alone.
  • Screen-reader support — we use semantic HTML, appropriate ARIA attributes, and descriptive text alternatives for images and controls.
  • Color and contrast — we work to meet WCAG Level AA contrast ratios for text and essential visual elements.
  • Responsive design — our pages adapt to different screen sizes and zoom levels so the content stays usable on a range of devices.
  • Accessible audio content — our audio programs are delivered as standard MP3 files and can be played in any accessible media player. Where available, we offer companion transcripts or workbook materials.
  • Ongoing testing — we test our site with automated accessibility tools and with assistive technologies, and we address issues as they are identified.

Limitations and Alternatives

Despite our efforts, some content on our website may not yet meet Level AA in every respect. This is especially true for certain legacy product pages, third-party content (for example, embedded media or pages built with third-party tools such as PageFly), and historical audio transcripts. We are actively working to remediate these areas.

If you encounter an accessibility barrier or need an alternative format of any content, please let us know and we will do our best to provide it. Accessible alternatives are available at no charge.

How to Request Help or Report an Issue

If any part of our website, a program, or a checkout flow is inaccessible to you, or you have suggestions for how we can improve, please contact us:

  • Use our contact form — include the page URL, what you were trying to do, and what assistive technology (if any) you are using.
  • Write to us at:

    Nightingale-Conant Corporation
    Accessibility Team
    1449 S Michigan Ave, Suite 13181
    Chicago, IL 60605, USA

We aim to respond to accessibility inquiries within 3 business days and to resolve specific access requests as quickly as we reasonably can — typically within 10 business days, depending on complexity.

Third-Party Content and Services

Our website integrates third-party services (such as payment processors, analytics tools, and the Shopify e-commerce platform) that we do not control. We work with partners who prioritize accessibility, and we report accessibility issues in third-party components to the providers responsible for them. If you experience an accessibility issue that originates with a third-party component, please still let us know so we can help with a workaround.

Formal Feedback and Complaints

We take accessibility feedback seriously. If you would like to file a formal complaint or escalate an unresolved issue, please contact us using any of the methods above and include the word "Accessibility Complaint" in your message. We will review your concern and respond with the result of our review and, if applicable, the steps we intend to take.

Assessment and Updates

This Accessibility Statement reflects our current practices. We review and update it periodically as our site and our accessibility program evolve. The "Last Updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
