Michelle Levey
Michelle Levey is an American mindfulness teacher, resilience expert, and organizational consultant who has spent over four decades helping individuals and institutions cultivate inner clarity, sustainable high performance, and compassionate leadership. Drawing on her deep study of contemplative traditions — including Tibetan Buddhism, yoga, and indigenous wisdom practices — she has developed a uniquely integrative approach that bridges ancient meditative science with the demands of modern professional life. Her teaching emphasizes that genuine resilience is not merely the ability to bounce back from adversity, but the capacity to remain grounded, present, and purposeful in the midst of complexity.
Alongside her husband and collaborator Joel Levey, Michelle has brought transformative mindfulness and resilience training to some of the world's most demanding organizations, including NASA, Google, Intel, and branches of the United States military. Their joint work under the banner of Wisdom at Work has guided leaders, teams, and high-performance professionals through programs designed to reduce stress, deepen attention, and foster the kind of inner stability that sustains effective action over time. The Leveys' methodology weaves neuroscience, systems thinking, and contemplative practice into accessible tools that participants can carry into every dimension of their lives.
Michelle's contributions to Nightingale-Conant reflect her conviction that the wisdom needed to thrive in a rapidly changing world already exists within each person — waiting to be cultivated through practice, intention, and community. Her programs offer listeners practical pathways to greater focus, creativity, and well-being, grounded in both the rigor of evidence-based research and the depth of a living wisdom tradition.
