Guy Finley

Guy Finley is an internationally acclaimed American spiritual teacher, self-realization author, and the founder and director of the Life of Learning Foundation in Merlin, Oregon. He is the bestselling author of more than 40 books and audio programs on the subjects of inner freedom, letting go, and spiritual awakening, including his landmark work The Secret of Letting Go, which has sold over 200,000 copies and been translated into numerous languages. Drawing on timeless wisdom traditions from East and West, Finley teaches practical methods for releasing fear, anxiety, and self-doubt — enabling individuals to access a deeper wellspring of peace and authentic self-knowledge.

Before turning to a life of spiritual study and teaching, Finley pursued a successful career as a professional musician and songwriter, working with some of the biggest names in popular music. A personal spiritual crisis led him to abandon that world and embark on years of intensive study with teachers across India and the United States. Out of that transformation emerged his life's mission: to share the principles of conscious self-development and inner liberation with as wide an audience as possible. His Nightingale-Conant programs have brought his teachings to hundreds of thousands of listeners worldwide.

At the Life of Learning Foundation, Finley leads free talks and classes each week, welcoming anyone seeking genuine inner change. His teaching style is direct, practical, and grounded in real-life application — focusing on recognizing and releasing unconscious patterns of thought and emotion that keep people trapped in cycles of suffering and limitation. Whether addressing personal relationships, career challenges, or the deeper questions of human existence, Finley's work consistently points toward a single insight: that true freedom comes not from changing the world around us, but from transforming our relationship to the world within.
