The Nightingale-Conant Corporation was formed in 1960 by Lloyd Conant and Earl Nightingale. At the time, Earl was the host of the most popular radio show in the world - Our Changing World and Lloyd was the owner of a company called "Specialty Mail". Lloyd and Earl decided to combine their talents, and in February, 1960, the Nightingale-Conant Corporation was incorporated.

The Strangest Secret and Lead The Field were instant best selling programs. The Strangest Secret went on to earn a gold record. Those programs led to a proliferation of over 500 programs on personal and business development. Earl Nightingale passed away in 1989 and Lloyd Conant passed away in 1986. The company is now owned and operated by Victor Conant.
