Dr. Carl Aylen

Former Cambridge University professor Dr. Carl Aylen is the Founding Principal of The Cambridge Don, a management consulting and research group. Dr. Aylen is an internationally recognized expert in the field of thinking processes. He earned a First Class Honors (summa cum laude) B.Sc. in engineering and a Ph.D. for research into the analysis of qualitative factors from Bath University of Technology (U.K.)

He was subsequently awarded the prestigious Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI) Post-Doctoral Fellowship in 1969. In 1973, he co-founded the Martin Centre at Cambridge University (U.K.). He helped this now-world-famous Centre of Architectural-Engineering pioneer the integration of architectural creativity with engineering discipline. In 1974, he was awarded an honorary M.A. by the Senate of Cambridge University for his unique contributions to the field of education. During the mid/late 1970s, he accepted a series of senior executive managerial posts and successfully applied his novel methodologies to corporate reconstructions.

In the 1980s and 1990s, Dr. Aylen translated his groundbreaking research on the links between thinking processes and human performance into leading-edge techniques for managing organizational change. In the course of his work, he has orchestrated several very successful corporate reconstruction efforts and has been privileged to work with leading political figures, as well as the Chairmen, CEOs, and senior managers of Fortune 1000 clients across the globe.
