Let Health Happen!

Your health and fitness accomplished only through hard work, sacrifice and self-denial?

No way! So kick back and have another slice of pizza, extra cheese if you like.

In a delightfully contrarian and fully researched rebuttal to the sometimes frightening and usually boring do's and don'ts associated with achieving and maintaining good health, Dr. Paul Pearsall offers a palatable, pleasurable prescription for living a healthy, happy life.

The Pleasure Principle: Discovering a New Way to Health is a well-reasoned plea for a sane approach to fitness and vitality. A generous mix of live lectures and seminars, studio recordings and Hawaiian music, this program proves that by pursuing our natural neurological preference for pleasure, a healthy hedonism, we can enhance our immunity, strengthen our hearts and lengthen our lives.

Using new research from the field of psychoneuroimmunolgy, Dr. Pearsall goes beyond the Spartan, no pain, no gain philosophy to one most aptly described as no bliss, no benefit, if you enjoy it, it's good for you.

Instead of stripping joyful activities from our lives, he encourages us to enjoy them in moderation. The key, he says, is balance. Discover how you can literally let good health happen to you by learning:

  • The purpose and use of one of your most important senses, your pleasure template.

  • The personal, interpersonal, transpersonal, temporal and sensual pleasure paths to health.

  • The difference between rational, healthy hedonism and irrational, unhealthy excess.

  • To laugh, love and live rather than lap, lift and lose.

  • The importance of touch, humor and crying.

  • The power of doing fun-ins instead of work-outs.

The simple pleasures of daily living, those that we so often have little time for, are the real purpose and process of life. These are the pleasures we must pursue in order to improve the quality and length of our existence. And these are at the heart of Dr. Pearsall's humane, revisionist wisdom.

The Pleasure Principle: Discovering a New Way to Health is just what the doctor ordered, it and that extra slice of pizza.

So enjoy already.

Two thumbs way up! Review by highlife66
How would you rate this product?
Out of all the programs and books I have read through the years, "The Pleasure Principle" by Paul Pearsall has been one of the most thought-provoking and influential in my life. This program helped me to realize what is really important to me in my life and that you should frequently  stop and smell the flowers and just "be." (Posted on 8/19/2015)
I'm no pleasure seeker Review by Jean Lombardi
How would you rate this product?
I was browsing the book department in our local Salvation Army store when I came upon Dr. Pearsall's tapes on pleasure.  My first thought was who cares about pleasure-I'm no pleasure seeker.  But because the binder and tapes were in such good condition I thought I'd listen to them anyway. Thank God that I did because the taped message was so different from what I ever heard before; they are truly enlightening, they gives hope and directions as well, with some humor (funny things, especially because of the truths within). I would highly recommend these tapes as a remedy for good health, peace with yourself and others, and pleasure for as long as you remember to live the principles shared! Also, the icing on the cake was the beautiful Hawaiian music that was played between each segment.I LOVE THIS "PLEASURE GIFT" THAT I ALMOST PASSED UP! (Posted on 8/19/2015)
