The Most Important Minutes of Your Day By Robin Palmer

Do you make the most of the most important minutes of your day? If you are like most people in the “human race,” you are so busy running through the paces of your day that you are not sure which minutes would rate as being most important. And even if you knew how to differentiate them from the other precious minutes of the day, how would you find the time to make the most of them? Research shows that your mind is the most open and receptive to receiving information during the first and last five minutes of every day. Why? Because those are the times your mind is transitioning between consciousness and subconsciousness – the beneficial Alpha state.

The Alpha state produces your most creative and rewarding ideas.

Be at your sharpest every morning you wake!

Did you know more than 70% of Americans start the day with a blaring alarm buzzer? There’s even a documented spike in heart attacks on Monday mornings as a result of people jarring themselves awake, as well as increased levels of stress. Needless to say, it is neurologically stressful to start your day in a physiological state of “alarm.” Sleep deprivation is affecting millions of people every night and is a leading cause of health issues such as obesity, heart disease, and diabetes. Sleeping pills now top the list of most commonly prescribed medications by physicians. Yet most Americans still tuck themselves in at night with the negative news on TV or with the stimulating glare from their electronic devices. If you don’t want your subconscious mind to have you tossing and turning all night, it is best to steer clear of the negative noise and electronic energy before bedtime. It’s time for some good news! Instead of bookending your day with blaring buzzers and negative news, you can easily and enjoyably maximize your Alpha minutes to create the life of your dreams. Here’s how: Don’t just do something! – Just lie there! Resist the temptation to race out of bed as soon as you open your eyes in the morning. And at night, when you lay yourself down to sleep, just say no to turning on your electronic device and checking your email. Instead, infuse these magical moments with inspiration, and envision fulfilling your goals and dreams. Take advantage of these valuable times to program your subconscious with positive thoughts, gratitude, visualization, and affirmations. Bookending your day with meaningful inspiration is the easiest way to influence everything in between. Get on a new thought track. Studies show that your mind’s neurotransmitters, like train tracks and thought patterns, are formed like well-traveled train routes. To create new positive thought patterns, the initial positive thought is crucial to “laying down new tracks,” creating new positive thought routes, and letting “grass grow” on the old thought tracks. And, while in Alpha state, when your mind is the most open, take advantage of this optimal time to get new thoughts rolling in the right direction on a new train of thought.

Your thought power influences your health, relationships, and achievements.

Change how you wake... change your life! — Save 80%!

Start your day with a dress rehearsal.  Imagine yourself participating positively in your day during your morning meditation. See yourself successfully completing your tasks, accomplishing your daily goals, and using your gifts for good, in the same way an elite athlete or Broadway performer prepares for an event or performance. Your subconscious believes the images and feelings you send in your visualizations and can’t differentiate between your inner reality and “real world” out there. Dream on your way to dreamland. Visualize completing goals you are working to accomplish just before you fall asleep. You’ll give your subconscious six to eight hours to work on them while you are sound asleep. Giving your subconscious assignments while you sleep can give you the extra advantage of your dreams. Count your gratitudes instead of counting sheep. Get yourself a gratitude journal, and list 10 new gratitudes every evening. Fill your list with specific, unique gratitudes from that day. Instead of writing that you are grateful for your spouse, write why you are grateful for your partner that particular night. Make room for your living gratitude list. With your eyes closed, review your day by silently or audibly thanking everyone to whom you are grateful. You may thank a friend who gave you a call or a co-worker who helped you solve a problem at work. You’ll notice that your live gratitude list keeps growing. Soon, there will be more people on your list, and in your life, than you dreamed possible. It’s the law of attraction in action. So move over and make room. Bookend your day with deep breathing. Here is an easy exercise to de-stress and oxygenate your brain cells – right from your bed. It’s a form of deep breathing. Close your eyes, and inhale through your nose slowly for seven counts, hold the breath for seven counts, then exhale slowly through your nose for seven counts, and hold again for seven counts. Repeat this breathing pattern three or more times. You’ll notice that you feel more relaxed and rejuvenated when you bookend your day with breathing deeply. “We’ve always done it this way.” Since the way you start and end every day is instrumental in impacting everything in between, why are 220 million Americans still starting and ending every day with blaring buzzers and negative news? We have relied on an antiquated, outdated system – until now. I kept searching for an automated success tool to help me to achieve my goals and dreams when it mattered the most, when in Alpha state.
